Ixia (News - Alert), a global provider of converged IP network test solutions, has launched its new Xdensity high-port-count 10GE load module.

The new release is ideal for testing ultra-high density converged data center fabrics and offers the industry's highest 10GE port density.

Featuring 32 ports on a single slot load module, the solution can scale up to 384 ports in a single Ixia XM12 chassis to deliver 3.84 terabits of test traffic. Ixia claims it is double the traffic generation and analysis of its nearest competitor.

Ixia notes that today businesses demand devices that can process multiple terabits of traffic and this has created a demand for extreme-density and cost-effective 10GE test resources.

By using a hardware-based design, Xdensity produces multiple terabits of wire speed traffic and precise latency measurements, at scale, that are unmatched in the testing industry.

Thanks to Xdensity's high port count per load module, users can reduce both the total power consumption and total footprint of a large test bed.

With this solution, users are therefore able to address key operational concerns and cut down the total cost of testing.
