Mellanox (News - Alert) Technologies has partnered with Correlix to announce the full support of Mellanox-based InfiniBand solutions by Correlix’s RaceTeam latency measurement service.
Mellanox provides both InfiniBand and Ethernet based storage connectivity solutions for customers to converge their infrastructure connectivity on a single fabric of their choice while saving datacenter power and space. Mellanox VSA, InfiniBand and Ethernet based storage solutions offers significant higher performance at a lower price.
Facilitating optimized trading strategies, improved customer service and streamlined operations, the Correlix RaceTeam service facilitates greater trading latency insight into each transaction and leads to optimization of InfiniBand. Enabling trading firms to manage and share real-time Latency Intelligence with their customers, as well as receive objective real-time latency data from liquidity venues, RaceTeam is an objective latency measurement service.
“Mellanox’s InfiniBand solutions for financial services repeatedly demonstrate the industry’s lowest application latency and highest scalability in high frequency trading environments,” said Asaf Somekh (News - Alert), vice president of solution marketing at Mellanox Technologies in a company press release. “We are pleased to work closely with Correlix to help bring to market a robust solution for latency monitoring over InfiniBand.”
With its unique, highly-scalable end-to-end InfiniBand solution (adapters, switching platforms and software) that provide seamless growth in terms of traffic volumes, amount of traders, and amount of symbols traded, Mellanox offers the lowest latency networking solutions for high frequency trading. Mellanox has deployed its solutions at a large array of investment banks, hedge funds and exchanges as a pioneer in the field of high frequency trading networking.
Recently, the company joined hands with Teranetics to introduce an integrated device which enables 10GBASE-T LAN-on-Motherboard (LOM) controllers for server and storage OEMs. The ConnectX ENt, a PCIe 2.0 (5.0GT/s) device, delivers low power server Ethernet chip with dual 10GBASE-T ports for high-performance, low-latency, and high availability. ConnectX ENt supports virtualization acceleration features like NetQueue and SR-IOV. It also supports I/O consolidation fabrics such as Data Center Ethernet (DCE), Fiber Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) and InfiniBand over Ethernet (IBoE).
