Cale America Roped for Pay-by-Plate Parking Solution

Cale Group's largest subsidiary Cale America is a company specializing in digital parking concepts. The company’s systems are installed in approximately over 140 cities, campuses and privately managed properties throughout the US, Puerto Rico and Bermuda.
The City of Deerfield Beach is the latest to pick Cale America’s solutions.
The City wanted to overhaul its parking operation. Its 800-space parking system currently utilizes mostly individual, coin-operated, pay and display meters, and annual permits for residents. The City was looking for a customer-friendly solution that would both increase revenue and reduce operating costs over time.
Cale has already implemented successful parking control solutions in cities like Key West, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Calgary and Amsterdam.
"We understand the need to listen to stakeholder feedback as part of the planning process, and to adapt the system to what is right for the City of Deerfield Beach. Every community is different," Jeff Nethery, director of business development for Cale America said in a statement.
"Our goal is to get the community excited by addressing their concerns and helping the City explain the many benefits of having a world-class, state-of-the-art parking management system," Nethery added.
After extensive research, Cale decided to offer a new parking revenue collection and enforcement system using pay-by-plate and license plate recognition technology.
The roll-out of the new parking program is planned to start in June. Cale and the City of Deerfield Beach have already set up a Parking Help Desk number, 954-480-4256, to answer questions about the new program. Once the system is installed and active, the Parking Help Desk will be available 7 days a week for patrons to call for assistance.
"Cale America brought a proven plan and an experienced project team with industry leadership, not just a technology solution," said Rebecca Medina Stewart, Public Information Officer for the City of Deerfield.
"It was very important to us that we partner with a group that could work with our community in a consulting and educational role. With Cale, we felt like we were dealing with real people, and not just a corporation," Medina added.
