A global software-as-a-service company that provides enterprise content management solutions through the cloud announced last week that it has opened up a contract with a "leading material handling equipment company."

DataServ, the SaaS (News - Alert) provider, did not specify the name of the company with which it will be working, but it did describe the nature of their budding relationship. DataServ indicated that it would be providing the company with a cloud-based ECM software that would seek to transform its accounts payable processes. DataServ Founder and CEO Jeff Haller explained in the official announcement the basic nature of the agreement and his excitement for being a part of it.

"We are pleased to initialize our AP automation solution with AutoVouch for a company that has been a leader in the handling equipment industry for many years," Haller said. "At DataServ we try to align ourselves with companies that have an extensive history of excellence, and our newest client certainly fits that description. We are happy to provide our expertise and solutions to such a highly regarded organization."

AutoVouch, which Haller mentions, is DataServ's invoicing program that allows companies to complete many of their invoices automatically, which can save them time and money when it comes time to deal with billing procedures. The official product webpage explains that organizations can expect AutoVouch to deliver up to 80 percent of their invoices automatically. The program begins by analyzing purchase orders and obtaining the contents within those orders. Following that, it transfers the information into invoices, and if the information in the invoices passes a three-way match through a company's enterprise resource planning software, AutoVouch will send out those invoices to the company's clients.

In its SaaS ECM, DataServ will also provide the company with its full Purchase to Pay experience that includes the ability to scan physical documents and make sense of their contents with optical character recognition. Using the company's advanced character recognition software, the ECM can sort customer data into usable digital formats that make it easy to complete invoices and other accounts payable tasks. The software comes with workflow coding that operates on mobile and desktop devices and access to predefined reports and the ability to create custom, searchable reports.
