Digium|Asterisk World Makes Triumphant Return to ITEXPO in Miami
December 10, 2010
TMC and Digium, the Asterisk (News - Alert) Company, today announced that Digium|Asterisk World is returning to ITEXPO, Feb. 2 to 4, at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Asterisk is the world’s most widely used open source communications software, and the Digium|Asterisk World event helps the entire Asterisk community learn how to create more flexible and powerful telephony solutions.
Open Source (News - Alert) Communications solutions currently account for more new phone lines than any single conventional PBX or key system manufacturer. While Open Source communications software can be free of charge, it creates significant revenue opportunities for businesses that install Open Source PBXs, and provide GUIs, PBX (News - Alert) appliances, gateways, and other related services. Digium|Asterisk World identifies these opportunities and covers the full spectrum of issues related to Asterisk-based, Open Source Telephony.
The conference content at Digium|Asterisk World will also reveal how open source solutions are being deployed in call centers; cloud computing solutions; and numerous government, enterprise, and carrier applications. Additional sessions will identify opportunities for the entire Asterisk ecosystem. TMC will publish a complete list of conference tracks and sessions in the weeks ahead. This year’s Digium|Asterisk World to feature three conference tracks: Cloud Solutions, Infrastructure Solutions and Reseller. Conference sessions include:
Asterisk SCF overview and planned capabilities;Asterisk virtualization for cloud services;- Cloud application designs using Asterisk;Contact center cost reduction via Asterisk;Asterisk Infrastructure ROI case studies;Automated service provisioning for fault-tolerance using Asterisk; What's coming from SwitchVox in 2011;Unique application integration opportunities with Asterisk.
