IOGEAR, a brand committed to foster convergence through connectivity, recently launched Multi-Link Bluetooth Mini Keyboard (GKB601B), an input device that is designed to help people overcome some of the challenges of touch screen typing.
In a press release, IOGEAR noted that the new mobile solution supports swift toggling and data input for up to six devices. The wireless keyboard is compatible with PCs, Macs, Smart Phones, tablets, iPads, game consoles and other HID profile supported devices running on Android (News - Alert), or iOS 4.0 and above.
With tablets and smartphones sweeping the market and mobile computing growing at a dramatic pace, the Multi-Link Bluetooth Mini Keyboard can be a great help for those, who have to use the devices on the go, but face difficulties in touch screen typing. The compact and lightweight IOGEAR the GKB601B can help the mobile users to overcome the many challenges such as awkward finger placement on a small screen. In its 9.125 in. x 4.5 in dimension and 0.35 lb weight, it can be easily stashed while not in use.
Its Ultra-slim design with a gentle arc ensures comfortable typing angles. it combines minimalism with high-function. A patented scissor key structure provides exact, even pressure for keystrokes, the maker of the device claimed. In addition, Quiet Key Touch design ensures a barely audible tap when using.
The GKB601B also offers hotkey access to My TV, My Videos, My Music, My Pictures, Record TV and DVD Player provide control functions to compliment the typing experience. Media Center hotkeys are only supported with the operating systems that have Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows Media Center.
“Mobility is a critical function of almost all consumer technology today and people are demanding mobile solutions that are easy to use while making their lives easier. Our new Bluetooth mini keyboard combines mobility and multiple device control freeing people to simultaneously text, update social profiles and be productive in many other ways,” senior marketing manager for IOGEAR Bill Nguyen explained in a statement.
For the users, who have to travel long distances with the device, the company offers a cloth travel pouch designed to protect the GKB601B when not in use. IOGEAR GKB601B is currently available at $99.95.
Last year IOGEAR introduced another innovative product, a solar Bluetooth hands-free car kit called, ‘GBHFK231,’ which lets consumers talk hands-free and charge cord-free.
