Verizon Business, a dealer in communications and IT solutions, has earned the “Master Unified Communication Specialization” from Cisco (News - Alert). This means that the company has fulfilled the training requirements and program prerequisites to sell, deploy and support highly sophisticated applications-based Cisco UC solutions.
According to Cisco officials, in order to achieve the Master Unified Communications (News - Alert) Specialization, partners must first attain the Advanced Unified Communications Specialization and then meet stringent requirements to demonstrate their master-level capabilities and customer success track record. To protect the integrity and value of the master specialization, Cisco requires an annual onsite audit and for that partners will be asked to provide validation of third-party certifications, proof of specific business processes, and proof of proficiency in unified communications technologies.
The Cisco Master Unified Communications Specialization recognizes an elite group of channel partners that have the most in-depth technology skills and demonstrated customer success in selling, deploying, and supporting sophisticated Cisco UC solutions.
Anthony Recine, vice president of network and communications solutions marketing for Verizon (News - Alert) Business has said that as the only U.S.-based global service provider to achieve both Master UC and Master Security specializations, they can deliver some of the most secure, integrated solutions available today. The powerful combination of Verizon’s network-based VoIP services and Cisco’s UC platform together with their professional consulting expertise is enabling better business processes and productivity for their customers while assembling the building blocks to provide cloud-based unified communications as a service.
