ECtel, a provider of Integrated Revenue Management (IRM) solutions, has acquired substantially all assets of Compwise for approximately $1.3 million.

 

Israel-based Compwise is a provider of business analytic solutions for telecommunication operators. The company’s products enable operators to “maximize tariff profitability, improve retention of profitable customers and detect revenue leakage.”

 

Through this latest acquisition, ECtel expects to expand and strengthen its IRM product suite, as well as expand its customer base. As per the acquisition deal, ECtel is expected to continue to provide revenue management services and support to Compwise's current clients.

 

ECtel said that it plans to merge Compwise's products into its IRM platform to enhance the company’s offering as a “one-stop revenue management solution.”

 

“This latest acquisition of Compwise is well aligned with our long-term growth strategy, which focuses on solid execution, innovation and M&A activity,” Itzik Weinstein, CEO at ECtel Weinstein said.

 

He expects that by incorporating Compwise's product offering, ECtel will further improve its ability to assist telcos with their revenue management efforts.

 

“This transaction showcases our long-term commitment to provide our customers with the most innovative and complete revenue management solution available in the market today,” he said.

 

He also said that Compwise's products will add a set of business intelligence capabilities that will enable the operator to address pricing and profitability, customer retention, marketing campaigns and rating and billing assurance.

 

Established in 1990, ECtel offers carrier-grade solutions that enable wireline, wireless, converged and next generation operators to fully manage their revenue and cost processes.

 

ECtel, which maintains offices in Europe and America, serves prominent Tier One operators, and has more than 100 implementations in over 50 countries worldwide.
