MBG (News - Alert) Expense Management, a reputed provider of telecom expense management (TEM) solutions and services, successfully completed testing for Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS (News - Alert) 70), Type II certification.
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SAS 70 is a well recognized auditing standard for service companies. This auditing process reveals a complete report on the critical control activities and processes of an organization which is supervised by a third party auditor. These standards are an important consideration for any organization working with a service provider involved in hosting or processing a client's financial data.
Under this rigorous testing, MBG's internal processes and infrastructure, including software development, human resource management, physical and electronic security measures, customer setup, network security and maintenance, infrastructure change management, environmental safeguards, communications, customer service, management and user controls are considered.
Upon successfully completing this certification test, MBG is classified as a company that delivers fully responsive, secure, reliable, and effective operating environments with proper controls and safeguards in place to ensure continuous high quality operations.
