Officials at AnchorPoint say that intense cost-cutting intense pressure on companies, and especially on employees in the corporate sector will eventually force them to turn to to reduce expenditures.
John Dretler, senior vice president at AnchorPoint (News - Alert), said his customers say they’re being asked by senior management to quantify the value and justify the ongoing support of their program.
“The good news is that based on the immediate visibility into telecom spend our customers are easily able to track and report on hard dollar cost savings, define assets under management and calculate the ROI their solution is delivering,” Dretler said. “The better news is that during the initial sales process we can leverage our Maturity Model to forecast savings and create a baseline so we can effectively evaluate the ROI throughout the full lifecycle engagement.”
Both Mer Telemanagement Solutions and AnchorPoint, which is a division of MTS (News - Alert) solutions, claim they deliver comprehensive solutions that bring live and constant communications cost visibility to the fore to enable decision takers and policy makers chalk out new, revised, agile and more cost effective roadmaps.
AnchorPoint said its solutions automate the processing and auditing of telecom invoices, track and manage telecom assets, allocate charges, manage contracts, and provide complete information visibility through a centralized database and integrated application suite.
Officials at the company claimed that its AnchorPoint Map-to-WinSM process focused approach ensures that the client’s solution aligns people, process and technology to client centric and specific business needs, achieving maximum results and Return On Investment.
Company sources cited a recent market research report, “The Value of Maintaining TEM,” compiled by AOTMP, which originally represented the Association of Telecom Management Professionals and is now unofficially referred to as the Authority On Telecom Management Practices. This report, they said, evaluated areas of hard dollar savings from telecom audits, preventative cost savings initiatives, visibility reporting, ways to keep from the chopping block, and evaluated the strategic value delivers to a business and factors for sustainability, particularly during tough economic times.
“One of the main objectives of the study was to understand the reasons why a program might be considered for potential elimination during periods of down sizing while outlining the negative affects this action would bring to the organization,” said Scott Lawrence, Director of Research at AOTMP. “In order to achieve true sustainability a company must continue to demonstrate value through hard and soft dollar savings well beyond the initial launch of the program.”
