ThinkTel (News - Alert) Communications, a Canadian telecom provider of business solutions, and Zultys (News - Alert), a Silicon Valley-based provider of all-in-one unified communications solutions, announced the certification of ThinkTel’s leading Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunking solution for Zultys IP Phone (News - Alert) Systems.

The trunking solution was tested interoperable with Zultys MX platform and was certified for all aspects of functionality, including call flow, DTMF transmission reliability and recognition, and voice quality. Certification of Zultys MX product line with ThinkTel's next-generation SIP Trunking product over their coast-to-coast dedicated IP voice network allows companies to reduce points of failure, company officials said.

ThinkTel  is a division of Distributel Communications. The company provides SIP-based voice, video, and data services catering to the SMB, enterprise and wholesale business segments. 

The interoperability test demonstrated that Zultys' pure SIP Phone System works perfectly on ThinkTel's new nationwide CLEC network. Since ThinkTel has built its network for SIP, it's a great fit that eliminates legacy technology to save businesses time and money.

Both the awards were an offshoot of the feedback that the Business Solutions Magazine received, company officials said.
