Panorama Software, a provider of proactive Business Intelligence solutions, has launched NovaView for PowerPivot, a comprehensive business intelligence suite built on top of the Microsoft (News - Alert) SQL Server 2008 R2 PowerPivot platform and a part of the NovaView for Office 2010 release.

Panorama NovaView, the company's flagship solution, amplifies the impact of the information worker through a tightly integrated and complete suite of 'on-premise' analysis, reporting, scorecard, dashboard and data modeling applications that support the two leading data platforms, SAP (News - Alert) and Microsoft.

Company officials believe that the newly launched suite will revolutionize the BI market with its managed self-service BI capability and in-memory engine. Panorama NovaView for PowerPivot, is said to add unique dimensions and capabilities to the PowerPivot platform, making it easier to use, more functional and enterprise ready.

'Over the last couple of years, in-memory business intelligence has gotten a lot of traction,' Eynav Azarya, chief executive officer at Panorama Software said.

 'Microsoft PowerPivot is the ultimate platform for managed self-service BI. With the latest integration of NovaView for PowerPivot, organizations are now able to get the most out of this new in-memory platform and extend it with a self-service BI suite that can satisfy the needs of the most advanced users as well as the broader information worker community,' Azarya added.

Some of the unique unique self-service BI capabilities found in NovaView includes; intuitive web interface, advanced analytics and a data level security layer, providing new ways for analysts and information workers to generate impactful insights and make better decisions.

Moreover, Panorama NovaView enables users to perform even more sophisticated analysis, including smart exceptions, instant calculations, data formatting and much more by natively connecting to the PowerPivot in-memory models. Information workers can now build pixel perfect reports, create executive dashboards or deliver insights directly to their Microsoft Office Outlook application, elevating it to a complete BI solution for Microsoft's new in-memory platform.

Also, to enable a secured web-based team and departmental collaboration, Panorama NovaView provides a data security layer on top of PowerPivot models.

'For the last 14 years, Panorama has been a strategic Microsoft partner and continually adds innovation on top of the Microsoft platform,' said Claude Lorenson, director of SQL Server marketing at Microsoft Corp.

'This new release will bring to market an end-to-end BI solution that combines the best of Microsoft SQL Server, Office Excel 2010 and SharePoint 2010 with Panorama's NovaView suite, and will ultimately transform the landscape of business intelligence as we know it,' Lorenson added.
