OTTER LLC., a software company located in Seattle, helps users to securely and efficiently use cell phones. The motto of the company is that if an individual is provided with an advanced and easy tool like OTTER, they can manage their texts on their terms regardless of where they are located.
In a release Erik Wood who is the owner of OTTER LLC owner said that" The OTTER-urban user…does see the value in managing their texts on their terms and raising their productivity in the office or at home. An independent tester from Canada tested 12 texting auto reply apps and reported that OTTER-urban had the best functionality. That was a big compliment.'
The OTTER-urban smartphone app is intended for the urban dweller that does not require any of the GPS road safety features that is usually offered with full-version OTTER app. OTTER-urban has a single touch feature that allows the user to act immediately to a text in no time, with response that is customized by the user. It has an auto-reply feature which functions identically to the auto-reply function on your email system. It will automatically respond to your texts at a time when you are very busy or not able to access your smartphone. The application gives the facility to customize a virtually infinite amount of responses and use them when needed. Students can program 'texting blackout periods' at the time of a lecture or study times. These apps help a wide range of users including business people, doctors, police officers and students to use the auto reply to connect with their respective social networks while concentrating on their task.

A timer auto-reply function administers incoming texts during specific times such as a daily commute, a doctor's rounds or an important meeting. OTTERurban is available at a rate of $1.99 for the city dweller. The app provides the complete functionality of One-Touch-Text-Response and Auto-reply, but the GPS safety features such as the silence text and incoming ring tone alerts while driving are not included.
