Steketee Greiner and Company, a digital marketing consultancy, has announced the formation of Catalyst SGC.
Catalyst SGC (News - Alert) will operate independently as the interactive development arm of SGC's digital marketing service portfolio.
Catalyst was created after SGC brought in key personnel in an acquisition from Grand Rapids development group APG. The organization focuses heavily on interactive development with strong capabilities in measurement and artificial intelligence solutions.
Barth Wilson, managing director, Operations said that the ever-changing digital marketing world continues to change, creating a strong demand for high impact interactive strategic thought and execution.
Wilson added that Catalyst comprises of a collection of best-in-class thinkers, programmers and designers who the company feels will be able to provide very unique solutions to specific challenges in the digital space.
The launch of Catalyst also saw the release of the company’s Beach Bum app through the Apple (News - Alert) iTunes store.
Beach Bum, which is a lifestyle app, allows its users to determine weather conditions for U.S. coastal and Great Lakes cities and beaches. This is based on the users' preferred water sporting activities, which could be boating, water skiing, jet skiing, sailing, and beach going, among others.
