Two European Mobile Operators Install Combined Procera and Ortiva Solution for Video Optimization

Video optimization techniques are crucial to help people to discover video. Procera Networks (News - Alert), Inc., the intelligent policy enforcement company, announced today that two leading European mobile operators leverage PacketLogic to enable a comprehensive integrated solution for video optimization. Both operators also selected the Ortiva Wireless iVOG (internet Video Optimization Gateway (News - Alert)) as their preferred video optimizer.

According to a press release, Ortiva and Procera underwent interoperability testing that showed a 30 percent reduction in video throughput while maintaining video quality.

Procera's PacketLogic improves capacity and extends operability lifetime by offloading almost 50 percent of irrelevant traffic from being processed in the iVOG. This combination provides a proven solution with a compelling and quick return on investment.

In other company news, TMCnet reported that Ortiva Wireless has selected GoAhead Software (News - Alert) to accelerate future releases of the mobile Video Optimization Gateway on carrier networks.
