By Rachel Ramsey, TMCnet Web Editor

This week in the business process outsourcing space we saw Canon Business Process Services, SAS (News - Alert) and ClearStar get involved in the management of criminal records, fraud detection and best practices for effective governance, risk management and strategic decision making. Also, Alorica’s CMO, Amit Shankardass, presented at a Frost and Sullivan event on humanizing technology to offer a great customer experience.

At this week’s Frost and Sullivan MindXchange event, Amit Shankardass, chief marketing officer of Alorica, presented during the “Where Agents and Technology Converge: Humanizing Technology to Enhance the Customer Experience” session. In a recent video, Shankardass and Frost and Sullivan analysts Stephen Lloyd and Michael DeSalles discuss humanizing technology and how it relates to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Also this week, Canon (News - Alert) Business Process Services, a provider of managed services and technology, revealed its plan to spotlight solutions for effective management of legal documents, records and eDiscovery processes at the Association of Legal Administrators Annual Educational Conference and Exposition. The company highlighted how records management best practices are critical for effective governance, risk management, litigation preparedness and strategic decision making.

SAS, a provider of business analytics software and services, said this week that SAS Analytics will be helping Kentucky’s drive to detect fraud and combat deceitful payments statewide in areas such as Medicaid, temporary assistance, food stamps and more. Kentucky is going to leverage the SAS Fraud Framework for Government and check the validity of claims to detect and prevent fraud. The state will also attempt to uncover and prevent abuse in the state’s Medicaid program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

ClearStar, an advocate for job applicants and a provider of background check technology, strategic services and decision-making information to employers, is now fully automating county criminal record processing with the release of CourtMojo, a solution that significantly cuts down the amount of time taken to retrieve information directly from a public record terminal. By conducting automated record searches, ClearStar’s CourtMojo raised efficiency by decreasing the time typically taken to deliver results to employers during the background screening process.

Pegasystems (News - Alert) Inc., a major player in business process management (BPM) and a provider of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, has unveiled the latest version of its Next-Best-Action Marketing (N-B-A Marketing) solution. This latest marketing solution delivers an unprecedented level of real-time cross-sell, up-sell and retention offers that are driving up to a 400-percent increase in offer conversion rates and double digit increases in average revenue per customer for some of the world's leading organizations.

Stay tuned each week for the latest in the business process outsourcing industry. Enjoy your weekend!
