Pacnet Helps SBS Business Process Outsourcing Provider Expand in Australia

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

Pacnet (News - Alert) is supporting India based global business process outsourcing services provider Sundaram Business Services (SBS) to expand its footprint in Australia.

SBS was searching for a managed data services business partner that could provide flexible data center and network services in Australia. In addition, it also wanted the partner to have a strong presence in India so SBS could provide services and technical support to its customers round-the-clock.

"Pacnet's offerings give SBS the ability to expand into Australia combined with a strong presence in India, so that we can easily and quickly expand our business without huge capital expenditures," said Renganathan Sundararajan, head of International Operations, Sundaram Business Services. "Working with Pacnet helps us to quickly scale our business and to be responsive to our customers' needs."

As part of the agreement between two organizations, Pacnet services are being integrated as part of a solution offering so that SBS can provide back-office support systems to the financial services industry and enterprises in Australia.

Pacnet has an extensive network footprint that provides connectivity to users in Asia-Pacific and the rest of the world. The company has data centers in Sydney and Melbourne and offers a complete portfolio of managed data services including private lines services and collocation.

"With our extensive network of interconnected data centers and points of presence across the Asia-Pacific region, we are in a strategic position to help companies like Sundaram Business Services expand their businesses into Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region," said Sunanda Das, managing director for Pacnet India.

Earlier this month, Pacnet signed an E-NNI (external network-to-network interconnection) agreement with tw telecom (News - Alert), allowing Pacnet to expand its business in the U.S. business market. tw telecom provides Pacnet with a ready-made infrastructure that helps reach its end-user locations in a quick and easy manner.
