DoubleHorn Introduces iAPP at ITEXPO Austin 2012
October 04, 2012
A source of business communications services, turnkey cloud business applications and managed services, DoubleHorn Communications just recently unveiled its Integrated Applications and Processes Platform (iAPP) this week at ITEXPO Austin 2012 in Austin, Texas.
Taking place until this Friday, October 5, ITEXPO (News - Alert) brings the entire communications and technology community together to build businesses and showcase recent communications innovations.
DoubleHorn's iAPP was built specifically for Cloud Services Brokerage and can help simplify the purchasing, auto-provisioning and business process monitoring aspects of cloud-based solutions. The platform can offer all of this without the overhead of an IT organization, the hassle of integration or technology transition costs, saving both time and money.
Furthermore, iAPP can allow cloud brokers to provide cloud services bundled with existing software and service assets as a managed service.
The true innovation lies in iAPP's framework, created from patent-pending technologies, including a Cloud Services Marketplace, ecommerce engine and self-service portal.
The marketplace's premier module is currently a Communications-as-a-Service (CaaS) store that features pre-integrated, tested and certified virtualized applications by top providers such as Acme Packet.
The CaaS store provides cloud service brokerages dealing in unified communications with a hosted, secure, interoperable and cost-effective platform with which to sell and provision cloud-based applications. Meanwhile, DoubleHorn ensures quality in its marketplace by testing and certifying all applications as secure, interoperable and highly integrated with popular unified communications platforms — Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync, Avaya, Shoretel and more.
DoubleHorn is actively seeking additional marketplace participants, which currently include Rackspace and Amazon Web Services, in addition to Acme Packet (News - Alert).
“Our goal is to provide the most efficient marketplace with countless marketplace ‘tenants,’ not to be the provider of all services," said DoubleHorn vice president of Platform Development, Robert Erickson. "Instead, we are leveraging our domain knowledge to focus on building the best marketplace available where customers can search for and find the best solution for their communications challenges.”
Erickson is scheduled to speak at ITEXPO in a session titled "Leveraging Cloud Solutions in a Service Broker Model." In addition, DoubleHorn is demonstrating iAPP and its Cloud Services Marketplace at the even in booth #707.
DoubleHorn is a Gold Sponsor of ITEXPO Austin 2012.
