Progress Software Announces Beta Program of DataDirect Cloud

To help companies to access cloud-based data sources, Progress Software (News - Alert) Corporation, a software company that simplifies and enables the development and deployment of business applications, has announced a beta program of the DataDirect Cloud service.

By extending its line of standards-based data drivers to support cloud connectivity to Salesforce.com (News - Alert) and other top SaaS and cloud computing platforms, Progress DataDirect helps organizations get more value from their cloud-based data. 

This beta program, a new SaaS (News - Alert)-based connection management service, is a crucial step in the company’s mission to help organizations create, run and connect to the world’s best business applications. The program is built on a single standards-based interface and offers the cloud connectivity service that simplifies SQL access to a broad spectrum of cloud-based data sources.

The cloud is reshaping the way organizations build and deploy software and is enabling the next generation of ISVs and applications to be built in less time, at lower costs, all the while increasing application scalability and resilience.

The DataDirect Cloud offering provides a single ODBC and JDBC driver based on the DataDirect premium driver technology that plugs into almost any third party application suite.
