Cosentry is allowing clients to automatically provision personal virtual private data centers online with the release of Ion Cloud Services.
The new Ion Solution series leverages Cosentry’s Vblock supported infrastructure to automatically provision enterprise class, secure virtual private data centers.
Cosentry provides secure cloud computing and data center services to its clients. The company’s newly released Ion cloud runs on VMware, EMC and Cisco (News - Alert) based Vblock technologies and provides scalability, reliability and high performance to its clients.
By leveraging a snapshot feature, clients can quickly provision and clone servers online and also import the existing virtual machines that include a perimeter firewall with IPsec VPN capabilities.
“There are a number of industry offers that might appear similar at first glance,” said Dustin Trager, director of Cloud Services for Cosentry. “But behind the flashy provisioning software, they don’t actually have a solid infrastructure or a true automatic zero-touch configuration. With Ion Cloud Services you get both.”
Cosentry’s Ion infrastructure includes a Tier IV hardened data centers in the nation. The company claims its facilities can maximize reliability and compliance.
“Whether an organization is just starting with the cloud, or they want to streamline and expand their capabilities, the Ion Cloud is an incredibly flexible solution with an incredibly sound infrastructure,” added Derek Gillespie, chief sales officer with Cosentry.
Cosentry was in news earlier this year when 8x8 (News - Alert) signed a software licensing arrangement for its subscription-based Zerigo cloud software.
