Not-for-profit Organization Enhances Multi-site Communication with OfficeSuite

Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC) is a New York City and Long Island based not-for-profit that provides educational, habilitation and residential support to children and adults with autism. It was finding it difficult to integrate its 20 branches and needed to upgrade its communications systems for effective interaction. It was then that it decided to implement Broadview Network’s OfficeSuite.

The development team at QSAC not only found it taxing to maintain multiple systems in its offices, but the fact that the collapse of a single system would make that office inaccessible only made matters worse.

“It proved very difficult to have different equipment at each location, as none of the systems could speak to one other. Not having an integrated system was causing all kinds of problems,” said Paul Naranjo, chief financial officer.

Multi-site organizations like QSAC often find it difficult to get enterprise features at an affordable price, but Broadview’s OfficeSuite provided all that it needed.  It could upgrade to a feature-rich IP phone system that would unify all its sites, without the organization having to buy expensive equipment or sign costly maintenance contracts. The system saved time and money and could keep pace with growth.

“Before we implemented OfficeSuite, we were incurring extra costs for each new service agreement. Our organization is growing quickly, and now [with OfficeSuite] we can expand without having to buy additional equipment for new offices,” observed Naranjo.

OfficeSuite allowed QSAC employees to redirect calls to other offices or mobile phones with the click of a button. Also employees could use any phone at any office including voicemail, which could be accessed anywhere, anytime. With free software upgrades and the capability to evolve with technology made it future-proof.

“OfficeSuite has allowed me to re-allocate my time and focus on our operations, rather than exerting so much effort on vendor equipment,” said Naranjo. He was also impressed with the expertise and level of support that Broadview Networks (News - Alert) offered, something that QSAC had not got previously from other vendors. 

“I regularly attend IT seminars where other not-for-profits come together to share their problems and successes. I have already recommended Broadview, and I would be happy to do it again,” concluded Naranjo.
