Masergy Communications Announces Masergy Communicator

Masergy Communications Inc., a global player in managed networking and cloud services, has announced the rollout of the Masergy Communicator.
Masergy Communicator provides end-users with a Unified Communications (UC) experience across mainstream mobile and desktop platforms including Windows, Mac, iOS and Android (News - Alert). With seamless integration with Masergy's UCaaS platform, users have a single application to access voice, video, instant messaging and presence applications, and access all the services from any device.
“Companies face many challenges when deploying UC services including the need to manage multiple applications, service providers, contact lists and operating systems,” said Tim Naramore (News - Alert), chief technology officer, Masergy, in a statement.
Naramore said that Masergy helps overcome these challenges by delivering truly unified communications from the cloud.
He said that Masergy UCaaS customers now have a single application for all their collaboration and communications needs regardless of if they are in the office, on the road, or working from home.
Officials with Masergy Communications said that Masergy Communicator enables users to see the real-time availability of colleagues and seamlessly escalate an instant message session to phone, video and conference calls with screen sharing anywhere, anytime.
It comes with lots of features including:
- One Identity Across Platforms -- Users have one identify across all services including voice, video, instant messaging and presence;
- Access from any device -- Users can access all communications services from any device, including desk phone, desktop, laptop, mobile or tablet;
- Synchronized call logs, buddy lists and service settings -- All communication preferences are stored in the cloud and are synchronized with the client upon login;
- High definition voice and video -- Users enjoy voice and video calls with the utmost clarity, among other things.
“Masergy Communicator has improved the productivity of our global workforce by allowing them to easily collaborate with each other from any device,” said Ramon Gutierrez, systems administrator at Land Home Financial Services.
“As Land Home Financial continues to grow we can immediately add new UC users while Masergy hosts the entire process in their cloud,” said Gutierrez.
Earlier in April, Masergy Communications had announced its Intelligent Service Control Mobile Application (Masergy ISC) for Android and iOS devices.
Designed for Masergy customers using the company’s managed cloud networking services, the new application allows IT professionals to manage and control their IT infrastructure—in real time—from anywhere in the world.
