iland Announces Updates to Enterprise Cloud Solution
December 12, 2014
While it might not be garnering quite as many headlines as it once did, there is little doubt that cloud technology is still plenty important and plenty popular. There are a number of different uses for the tech, including for companies like Google (News - Alert) and even call centers to take advantage of its versatility. Earlier this week, iland (News - Alert) announced that it was taking steps to make sure that its customers don’t have to do the heavy lifting when it comes to planning and implementing their public cloud resources. The new Enterprise Cloud Services solution from iland integrates disaster recovery, alerting and management functionality. This means companies can monitor and control their cloud resources quickly and easily.
“It is not enough for cloud service providers to sell raw infrastructure and then expect their customers to navigate through disparate add-ons or rely on expensive third party integrations,” Justin Giardina, CTO of iland said in a recent release. “At iland, we’re committed to working with customers to understand and anticipate their needs, and we invest heavily in research, engineering, product development and support to ensure they get the maximum value from their cloud.”
With iland’s offering, there is a leverage integrated disaster recovery system based on Zerto technology, so it will support on-premises and cloud to cloud business continuity plans. There is also the ability to test and execute failover and failback any time the company wants to run the tests. The firm can also use iland’s Enterprise Cloud Solution to create vApp templates in order to better expedite future deployments. The approach also allows for internal management systems to integrate more smoothly into iland’s cloud using a metadata exposed API.
Best of all is that the client that uses this particular technology is going to have update notifications and one click installs of VMware tools hardware edition.
