Vonage, a provider of cloud communications services in the corporate and private sectors, recently announced that it has received the distinction of becoming a preferred partner in The Alliance Partners, formerly known as the Agent Alliance and now commonly referred to as The Alliance.

For those not familiar, The Alliance is a diverse industry consortium that represents each sector of the communications industry and encourages best business practices for the channel ecosystem. It brings  together a diverse set of master agents, technology distributors, business consultants, cloud specialists and others.

The Alliance in recognition of Vonage’s (News - Alert) strong presence in the industry felt they would be a good preferred partner. Vonage has a reputation for strong support of channel partners and has a large network of channel managers to compliment its extensive portfolio of products and services.

“Vonage is unique in that it provides our members with a one-stop-shop with multiple options for customers whether a single-person office or a large enterprise with multiple locations,” said Bill Power, CEO of The Alliance. “Adding Vonage to our provider portfolio means instant access to flexible product solutions and services that meet the needs of our members and their customers, and a well-recognized brand in our network. We look forward to an impactful, long-term relationship.”

For Vonage, the partnership provides access to The Alliance’s extensive network of influential players in the industry as well as thought leaders and distributors. The relationship will allow the company to continue developing and improving its portfolio while increasing the reach of its distribution channels.

“We are delighted to partner with The Alliance and to work directly with its 17 member agencies across the country,” said Clark Peterson, President of the Business Solutions Group at Vonage. “This partnership will further maximize the distribution of Vonage's full portfolio of UCaaS services for a wide range of businesses. Since Vonage has one of the largest indirect channel programs in the industry, we are also able to provide our Alliance partners with personalized sales, training and engineering support through more than 30 dedicated channel managers nationwide, along with exceptional service for their customers.”

As noted this is aimed directly at expansion of Vonage’s unified communications as a service (UCaaS) offerings and being named a preferred supplier by The Alliance is certainly valuable recognition along with the benefits of extending its channel reach.
