It’s been a banner year for Voxbone (News - Alert) according to several key growth statistics that the provider of voice over IP (VoIP) services recently released. Covering the last 12 months, these statistics show that cloud communications providers increased reliance on Voxbone’s direct inward dialing (DID) numbers throughout 2015.

The result: Voxbone experienced a 53 percent increase in call volume for its DID numbers, along with a 124 percent increase in call volume of its toll-free numbers, as compared to the previous 12-month reporting period. Likewise, the company saw a 31 percent increase in total customer spending. All in all, it looks like 2015 was a successful year for Voxbone.

“While we’re certainly ready to hit the ground running for 2016, it’s hard not to relish in the successes of the last year,” said Itay Rosenfeld, Voxbone’s CEO. “We’ve partnered with a majority of the biggest names in global UC communications, delivering a service which matches their reputations in quality and scope.”

Earlier in the year, Voxbone expanded its presence in the cloud communications market by way of a sponsorship with Vitruvian Partners LLP, which acquired a majority stake in Voxbone. Vitruvian is a European independent private equity firm that mainly supports innovative companies that have been able to succeed in industries undergoing great growth and change. This description certainly fits the cloud communications market.

As evidence of the market’s remaining potential, Voxbone pointed to a recent survey from Redshift Research and cloud services provider Azzurri Communications (News - Alert) which states that demand for cloud-based unified communications saw major growth in recent months and is expected to grow 466 percent in 2016. Meanwhile, 48 percent of enterprise IT departments plan to move to UC in the coming year, with most turning to cloud-based deployments, which are expected to jump from six percent of all UC to 28 percent next year. In other words, Voxbone still has plenty of room for growth.
