BRIEF: Intellectual property specialists to be retrained in Azerbaijan

Center for Intellectual Property Rights under the Azerbaijani Copyright Agency has already started operations, head of the agency's legal department Khudayat Hasanli told Trend on Friday.
He noted that the main goal of the center is to provide forecasts in the fight against piracy, hold monitoring, observation and analysis of the results and the preparation of the proposals.
Hasanli also said the center will manage the digital rights in a digital network.
"In addition, the center will provide training of specialists in the field of intellectual property. Primarily in collaboration with the universities it is planned to organize education and training in the field of intellectual property for the students as well as for young lawyers, graduate students, people doing research work in this sphere," Hasanli said.
He stated that one of the center's function is fight with misappropriation of Azerbaijani musical works, works of authorship, models of folklore, cuisine, samples of traditional culture by Armenians.
