BrainScope Awarded Montgomery County Emerging Business of the Year
BETHESDA, Md. --(Business Wire)--
BrainScope® Company, Inc. announced today that it received
the Verl Zanders Emerging Business of the Year Award by the Montgomery
County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) last evening at the 2012 MCCC Business
Awards Dinner & Reception. The event was attended by over 700 business
and government leaders. Among the seven awards presented during the
evening were esteemed recipients such as J.W. Marriott, Jr. (Emeritus
Business Leader), Booz Allen Hamilton (News - Alert) (Prime Partner of the Year), and
Lockheed Martin (Corporate Achievement).

In the last year, BrainScope has been awarded research and development
contracts valued in excess of $10 million by the U.S. Department of
Defense. In May 2011 BrainScope reached concurrence with the U.S. Food
and Drug Administration (FDA) on the key study design elements for
clinical validation of the Ahead® M-100 medical device.
Since 2010, results from clinical studies utilizing BrainScope's
technology have been published in leading peer-reviewed neurology and
emergency medicine journals such as Brain Injury, The Journal
of Head Trauma Rehabilitation and The American Journal of
Emergency Medicine.
