Dr. Gwendolyn Poles Honored with Pressman Award

The Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Physicians honored Gwendolyn Poles, DO, FACP, with the 2012 Robert S. Pressman Award for Distinguished Service to Internal Medicine. The chapter presented Dr. Poles with the award at their December annual awards dinner.

Dr. Poles is a practicing physician in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She has practiced medicine for 21 years and is board certified, specializing in Internal Medicine. Dr. Poles is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The Pressman Award for Distinguished Service to Internal Medicine is given annually by the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Physicians to a Pennsylvania internist who best demonstrates commitment to his/her patients and his/her community as a practicing physician, as a leader within organized medicine, and for extraordinary dedication to the specialty of internal medicine. This award was first given in 1994 to Robert Pressman for his distinguished service.
