He created SixthSense in 2009, a wearable device that enables the user to gesture into light projections.


Because Mistry's demos of the SixthSense apparatus, which can be seen on video footage from Technology, Entertainment and Design (TED) conferences around the world, have wowed audiences with the possibilities it holds.

Because at 31, he has worked on 21 separate projects in the fields of interaction design, robotics, computer graphics, information graphics, embedded systems, and social computing.

Because he is a visionary in his field and has taken touch technology in particular to newer heights.

Did you know The Chinese government wants him to set up a research lab in their country and is offering a very neat sum for his research.

Magic wands His SPARSH project takes the idea of cloud computing and turns users into the cloud, allowing them to transfer information from one device to another simply by touching the surface of each. His new invention, Teletouch, on the other hand, will allow you to control the movement of physical objects you see on your smartphone's camera by touching the screen.
