National Memory Care Experts The LaSalle Group Announces Plan to Build First-Ever Assisted Living Community in South Barrington
SOUTH BARRINGTON, Ill. --(Business Wire)--
The LaSalle Group is announcing its plan to build a cutting-edge 29,000
square foot, $11.1 million memory care community that will exclusively
care for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia and memory impairment.
Autumn Leaves of South Barrington (215 Bartlett Road in South
Barrington) will provide a home-like environment that includes a family
approach and dedicated staff with highly specialized training. The
project is the result of a partnership with The LaSalle Group and
Silverado Interest.
"We are excited about bringing our services to South Barrington," said
Brenda Brantley, chief financial officer, The LaSalle Group. "We want to
help as many people as possible, and we will continue to look for
opportunities to grow and make a difference in people's lives."
Autumn Leaves of South Barrington will use a brand new interior design
model where every detail is hand-selected with the residents in mind.
From the light fixtures, to the number of windows, to the type of
artwork, carpet, paint and furniture, the design team uses the most
recent Alzheimer's and dementia research to choose every detail. The
community will also have aquariums in the dining rooms, which according
to scientific research, will create a calming effect nd increase
appetites-priorities for families living with Alzheimer's or dementia.
"Autumn Leaves of South Barrington will be a fantastic addition to the
community," said Kay Adkins, director of development, The LaSalle Group.
"We look forward to helping families and their loved ones. We truly
enjoyed working with the Village of South Barrington, and we appreciate
the support we have received from the village officials."
Autumn Leaves of South Barrington will have its own culinary director
who will freshly prepare food from scratch while working with a
nutritionist and dietician to create meals enjoyed by residents in
private dining rooms. The residents will also experience life enrichment
programs that use touch, laughter, music, and dance to engage senses and
personality.
"We believe in keeping our residents active and engaged. They have
access to our entire building and the outdoor courtyards," said Chad
Anderson, president, Constant Care Family Management. "We are memory
care experts, and we know how to design a community that meets the needs
of our residents."
Autumn Leaves of South Barrington will also offer free programs to the
public including seminars, support groups, memory testing, and free
respite care for five hours on Wednesdays to give caregivers a break.
Autumn Leaves of South Barrington is expected to open first quarter of
2014.
