BRIEF: Greeley and fire department offer free CPR classes

Jan 17, 2013 (Greeley Tribune - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- The city of Greeley and the Greeley Fire Department are offering a free American Heart Association, Family & Friends CPR training course for residents of Greeley and the Western Hills Fire Protection District.

The 90-minute course is not certifiable, but will cover CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator or AED.

Classes will be held at 9 a.m. on Feb. 9 and Feb. 23 at the Greeley Fire Department, Station No. 1, 919 7th St., Nusbaum Training Room.

To sign up, call the Greeley Fire Department at (970) 350-9508 or email Please include your name and phone number and selected date. This is a first-come, first-serve sign-up with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 24 per class.

The Heart Safe City initiative is also seeking business partners to assist with funding this life-saving knowledge for the community.
