BRIEF: NAACP Portland to host Freedom Fund Banquet Feb. 23 in Northeast Portland

The NAACP Portland Unit 1120 will hold its annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Red Lion Convention Center, Windows Ballroom, 1021 N.E. Grand Ave.
This year's theme, according to a release, is "Justice for All." The event will begin with a meet-and-greet reception from 6 to 7 p.m.. The dinner and program will last from 7 to 10 p.m.
The keynote "Men Of Honor" speakers include Lew Frederick, Oregon State Representative 43rd District; Larry Miller, President, Nike Air Jordan; Ben Berry, Tuskegee Airman; Rev. Craig Brown, Five Strings Partnership.
Tickets are $55, or a table of 10 for $500. They can be purchased online through Eventbrite.com or by emailing dorismuhammad503@gmail.com or audreyterrell@aol.com.
