Sitel Goes on a Hiring Spree to Fill 150 Vacancies at Its Augusta, GA Call Center

With Sitel expanding its staff for its Augusta (News - Alert), Georgia call center, Georgia’s job market recently received a significant boost.


According to a press release, Sitel, a leading outsourced customer service provider, hired 150 full-time entry-level customer service representatives for its Augusta, Georgia call center, located at 2115 Windsor Spring Road.

Among the newly recruited, 130 associates will provide customer care service and technical support for a national wireless provider, while the rest of the representatives will deliver customer care for a financial services client, Sitel revealed in the press release.

“With unemployment on the rise across the nation and here at home, Sitel Augusta is operating at full capacity, providing outstanding employment opportunities for the area's top talent. This recent hiring wave is no exception, with invaluable development and advancement opportunities, both on a professional and personal level,” site director at Sitel Phil Madden noted in a statement.

In business for 26 years, Sitel has twice been ranked as the top overall call center outsourcing provider in Datamonitor's annual Black Book of Outsourcing survey. Currently, the company has 57,000 employees at its more than 135 domestic, nearshore, and offshore centers in 26 countries across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific. Sitel invited the candidates seeking a career in the call center industry to apply online at Sitel's "Careers" section at www.sitel.com. Ideal candidates should possess excellent customer service and computer skills. Previous sales and call center experience will be added advantage, with knowledge of the wireless and financial services industries preferred for respective positions.

Last week, Sitel announced that the Company's Glasgow, Kentucky call center site was named 2011 Kentucky Employer Champion by Experience Works, the nation's largest nonprofit training and employment organization for workers 55 years and older. The award was presented at the Sitel Glasgow site at 101 Hilltopper Way on October 27, in recognition of Sitel's ongoing commitment to the promotion, recruitment and development of strong business partnerships and hiring local talent encompassing all ages.
