To allow high capacity networking within an organization, Lightower Fiber Networks, a provider of fiber-based networking solutions, has selected NetCracker Technology’s Telecom Operations and Management Solution (TOMS) to consolidate and manage its expanding fiber-based infrastructure. 

According to a press release, Lightower’s fiber footprint moves from New England to Eastern New York State, Northern New Jersey, Long Island and New York. This company offers Metro Ethernet, dark fiber, DWDM, SONET, Internet access and collocation services throughout the Northeast.

 Jason Campbell, SVP of operations and engineering at Lightower said that the company’ s high-capacity infrastructure continues to experience rapid growth through acquisition, market expansion and organic, in-market growth and this partnership with NetCracker (News - Alert) will enable the company to manage growth, optimize the management of assets, and enhance the customer experience.

He added that by choosing NetCracker’s TOMS Solution, Lightower will improve its internal operations by providing implementation and support staff with unified and reliable access to network information and this solution will improve Lightower’s ability to plan and fulfill client orders by helping to reduce the time and effort required to accurately analyze resources throughout the network.

NetCracker’s TOMS will play an important role in integrating its network systems to provide Lightower with a single view of the entire network. Recently, Lightower has acquired several high-capacity service providers.
