Business process outsourcing and customer relationship management provider Atento has opened a new call center in Feira de Santana, Brazil.
The new center is the third Atento call center in the state of Bahia, joining two others in the capital of Bahia.
"Having a third center in Bahía allows us to strengthen our company's position as a leader in customer experience services and solutions in Brazil,” Atento CEO Alejandro Reynal said. “We are also increasing our capacity to offer end-to-end solutions adapted to the needs of companies operating in highly competitive environments, environments in which an excellent customer experience becomes the most important source of competitive advantage."
The company’s call center is already at 100 percent capacity, employing 2,500 people. The center focuses on customer experience, cross-selling and customer support. The center offers two training rooms, three meeting rooms, three dining rooms and a reading room for people who want to relax.
With the opening of the new center, Atento employs 12,500 people in the state in the northeast of Brazil.
Atento has other offices in Brazil’s major population centers, including Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre and Goiania. The company has 900 offices across Brazil.
The company intends to show its commitment to Brazil and the state of Bahia with the opening of the new center.
"Atento continues to identify the best locations for expanding its operations in Brazil while also contributing to economic development in the different regions where it carries out its business activity,” Atento Brazil general manager Nelson Armbrust said. “This center consolidates our commitment to the northeastern region of the country. Also, we are very proud of contributing to the professional development of thousands of young people in the region.”
While Atento mainly focuses on Latin America, it has a substantial U.S. presence, and employs more than 160,000 people worldwide.
