TargetX CRM Drives Recruiting At Southern Polytechnic State University

Southern Polytechnic State University announced that recruitment is at an all time high with a 28 percent increase in freshmen, a 25 percent rise in transfer students, and a 16 point increase in the academic profile for the freshman class. All this has been possible with the adoption of a cloud-based CRM system from TargetX. Leveraging the system the university was able to revolutionize everything from the marketing process, to the application process, as well as the campus tours.
In a statement, Gary Bush, SPSU's Director of Admission and Recruitment, said that, "We had a great year -- one for the history books. The CRM was involved in everything we did, making our recruiters more effective, our call center more efficient, our prospect communications more targeted. This was the first year we were able to use all the tools provided by the TargetX CRM. So we were able to do things like overcome inefficiencies with our campus tour program."
The Recruitment CRM system from TargetX has been developed as a Customer Relationship Management solution solely for use in higher education. The system is based on the robust Salesforce.com (News - Alert) development platform – Salesforce.com is a company within the CRM industry and cloud computing industry.
Bush said that, "It's easier to make the right phone calls at the right time. Staff members are able to record whether they reached the student or not, what was discussed, and what the next step should be. This way students aren't getting called twice for the same thing. We don't want to pester them."
