New DriveTime Auto Sales Call Center Opening in Fort Worth

DriveTime Auto Sales, a division of DriveTime group that calls itself the nation’s largest integrated used car sales and finance company focused on customers with credit issues, says it’s launching a new call center.
The company selected the CentrePort Business Park in Fort Worth as the location for this new center. DriveTime, which is headquartered in Phoenix, plans to lease roughly 31,000 square feet at 15001 FAA Blvd. The region can anticipate the addition of 100 jobs with this opening.
“This is another huge win for the city of Fort Worth, which continues to see a high level of economic development interest and activity, despite the current economy,” said David Berzina, executive vice president of economic development for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, in a statement. “DriveTime’s expansion into Fort Worth will not only create jobs and build on our city’s economic vitality, but will also enhance the quality of life for our businesses and residents.”
In the recent downtrodden economy where a number of companies are seeking to outsource or offshore their customer service divisions, the opening of new call centers within the United States is good for both local and national commerce. The South and Southwest portions of the nation are proving to be viable location options for new call centers, creating much-needed jobs and helping to build up the local economy.
“DriveTime Auto Sales is looking forward to becoming a part of the vibrant Fort Worth business community,” said Jon Ehlinger, vice president and general counsel for the DriveTime group of companies. “The city and the CentrePort Business Park have a number of competitive advantages that will contribute to our company’s continued market leadership, namely its central location within the United States, low cost of living and doing business and ready access to a skilled workforce.”
Located immediately south of DFW International Airport, the CentrePort Business Park is a mixed-use development that features lush landscapes, security patrols and an architectural review committee to maintain its current appeal. A 1,300 acre business park, it encompasses a variety of facilities from offices to call centers to distribution hubs for some of the region’s most prestigious companies.
The DriveTime Auto Sales call center will be located in District 5. This district’s City Councilman Frank Moss added: “We are extremely pleased with the company’s decision to locate its new facility in Fort Worth at the CentrePort campus, which offers tremendous access in terms of transportation, workforce, housing and cultural and recreational opportunities.”
The news as of late in the call and contact center space is positive as new additions continue to emerge, both onshore and offshore, indicating positive movement within industries. As this continues, consumers can be confident that a recovery is coming, even if it may take longer than their comfort zones can handle.
