New OnTheGo Mobile App Leverages Sage SalesLogix CRM Cloud Platform

Sage North America has announced that Sage CRM Solutions business partner Net@Work has released OnTheGo mobile CRM application for Sage SalesLogix 7.5.2 and Sage SalesLogix Cloud users with iPhone and Android (News - Alert) devices.
According to company officicals, they used the Sage SalesLogix Cloud CRM platform and were able to create OnTheGo thanks Sage’s protocol for easy and secure data sharing across business applications.
“Sage SalesLogix Cloud doesn't force us into a specific deployment method, nor does it restrict us only to specific aspects of its technology,” said Danny Estrada, CRM practice director at Net@Work.
Estrada also said that Sage’s SData protocol allows the company to present transactional data to any user at any time without the need to store data on a mobile device, enabling the applications the company develops work across environments where multiple device types and systems are in place.
With OnTheGo for Sage SalesLogix and Sage SalesLogix Cloud, users can access real-time information from internal customer and prospect databases on their iPhone (News - Alert) and Android mobile devices.
Moreover, it can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Android Market -- each site also offers a free trial version.
Company officials indicated that BlackBerry (News - Alert) and Windows Mobile versions are also in development.
“We built Sage SalesLogix to be extensible and it's great to see this new mobile application from Net@Work leverage the flexibility of our SData architecture,” said Larry Ritter, senior vice president and general manager for Sage CRM Solutions.
There is growing demand for OnTheGo within the healthcare, financial services and media/advertising industries, among others, and also from the small business community based on its rapid adoption of iPhone and Android devices, according to Net@Work.
The company expects to extend OnTheGo via the Sage partner channel based on interest it is receiving from Sage CRM Solutions business partners who want to take advantage of pre-built, cloud-based mobile CRM functionality.
“The Sage method of data sharing provides nearly unlimited opportunities to extend the value of Sage SalesLogix, and the OnTheGo application is a great mobile example,” said Sam Biardo, founder and CEO of Technology Advisors, a Chicago-based Sage CRM Solutions business partner.
