Call Center Software Provider Five9 Adds New Member to Executive Team

When you are a leader in a particular industry, it is important to have leaders on your executive team. This is why Five9 (News - Alert), a leader in the cloud contact center software market, was looking to hire an industry veteran with a wealth of experience. They found just such a person in David Milam, the newest member of Five9’s executive team.

Milam has a great deal of experience in marketing enterprise and cloud software. He spent more than five years as the chief marketing officer and executive vice president at McAfee (News - Alert), where he led the company’s global marketing effort. His team’s duties included branding, demand creation, product marketing, competitive intelligence, partner marketing, customer community programs, internal communications and public relations.

The existing leadership team at Five9 is excited to bring Milam on board due to his experience and leadership. “Adoption of cloud-based solutions in the contact center is increasing rapidly,” said Mike Burkland, president and CEO of Five9. “As our business accelerates, bringing on David is the next step in building a world-class, enterprise cloud software company. David’s industry and marketing expertise, coupled with his leadership skills and passion make him a great asset to Five9.”

Prior to his work at McAfee, Milam also held executive positions at EMC, Documentum, Broadbase Software, Cadence Design Systems (News - Alert) and Structural Dynamics Research. He will bring his experience to bear at Five9, looking to expand the company’s already extensive customer base. Five9 has more than 1,500 customers and handles more than three billion calls per year.

For his part, Milam is looking forward to joining the team at Five9. “Five9‘s cloud-based solution is deployed in thousands of contact centers helping them achieve unparalleled performance and a rapid return on their investment,” he said. “The contact center industry’s appetite for cloud-based solutions is at an inflection point; this represents an amazing opportunity for Five9.
