By Jayashree Adkoli
With an objective to protect customers’ critical business information, Calabrio, Inc. – a company having expertise in enterprise recording and contact center workforce optimization software – has obtained the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001 Certification.
The ISO/IEC (News - Alert) 27001 is an information security management system (ISMS) standard specifying a management system that is intended to bring information security under explicit management control. In general, the ISO 27001 security standard status assures customers, consumers, suppliers and shareholders that their informational assets are protected.
Having tasted the success of significant growth in User Group membership by nearly 200 percent since a year, Calabrio obtained the ISO 27001 certification with the help of Bureau Veritas (News - Alert) Group, in order to strictly comply with information security and data protection standards.
This recognition ensures all customers of Calabrio (News - Alert) with ultimate confidence in secure information management, thereby reflecting the company's commitment to provide tools that proactively protect, manage and preserve customers' valuable data from loss or malicious attack.
"An organization's raw data and customer information is a crucial asset to its everyday operations and success. It's imperative that this information is protected," said Tom Goodmanson (News - Alert), president and CEO of Calabrio, in a statement. "The ISO 27001 Certification ensures that any risks that may threaten a business' data are identified, managed and eliminated.”
Goodmanson added, “Calabrio is amongst a select few in the contact center software industry to receive this recognition and is a strong proof-point of our aggressive efforts to protect our customers' critical business information."
According to Calabrio, it initiated the certification process in order to address the needs of large enterprise customers and to enable them to confidently utilize the Calabrio's ONE workforce optimization suite and Calabrio support services for their workforce optimization requirements.
Calabrio's ONE workforce optimization suite is the first Web 2.0-based contact center software. This software suite facilitates users to granularly personalize its toolset for each user level. It also simplifies workforce management and data analytics by utilizing common underlying data, minimizing cross-application administration and enabling dynamic dashboard and reporting tools.
Featuring key functionalities such as call recording, quality management, workforce management and speech analytics, the Calabrio ONE solution suite offers a complete platform that contact centers require along with guaranteed data protection.
Organizations that claim to have adopted ISO/IEC 27001 are required to be formally audited and certified compliant with the standard. The Bureau Veritas Group helped Calabrio to achieve the ISO 27001 Certification.
The Bureau Veritas Group plays a key role in both risk management and performance improvement for organizations seeking for support in protecting their respective brands, assets and business.
The ISO/IEC 27001 standard requires that the management system: systematically examines the organization's information security risks with respect to threats, vulnerabilities, and impacts; designs and implements a coherent and complete suite of information security controls and/or other forms of risk treatment; and adopt an overarching management process to ensure that the information security controls continue to meet the organization's information security needs even in future.
Calabrio is a member of the Cisco Developer Network (CDN), as well as a gold member of the Avaya (News - Alert) DevConnect program.
