Pegasystems to Upgrade ERP Solutions with its New Pega Process Extender

Pegasystems (News - Alert) Inc recently announced that with its new Pega Process Extended, it will be introducing upgraded ERP solutions which will accelerate the use of SAP applications along with new work automation and user experience features. Pegasystems is a specialist provider of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions.
In a statement, Alan Trefler, founder and CEO at Pegasystems, said that, “Over 60 percent of our customer base uses SAP (News - Alert) to handle ERP processes, with Pega's dynamic case management solutions interacting with SAP to get work done across the enterprise. The company has been developing solutions that work well with SAP applications. The company’s suite of market-leading BPM, dynamic case management and next-best-action solutions can be used by large enterprises to access and work with data, logic, and processes in SAP. The integration between Pega and SAP has helped in accelerating and improving the accuracy of introducing new products within a market and can help users in enhancing internal and external constituencies.
George Lawrie, VP and Principal Analyst at Forrester Research (News - Alert), Inc., in an August 10, 2011 report, Delivering Custom Apps for Competitive Advantage, said that “Forrester identified a tipping point two years ago away from the corset of enterprise resource planning (ERP) industry best practices toward investments in frameworks and platforms that enable app customization without writing and testing code and without jeopardizing upgrade path.”
