Its priority is to help the public sector deliver real savings by developing the U.K. Government cloud capability with NewVoiceMedia (News - Alert) has being accepted into the G-Cloud ii program, qualifying it as a trusted provider of SaaS (News - Alert) technology.
NewVoiceMedia will now be well positioned to provide its true cloud contact centre and voice solutions to the U.K. public sector, which in turn will benefit from lower costs, reduced procurement times, a competitive market and a simplified tendering process.
The solutions provide for greater interaction between agents and customers and helps resolve more enquiries the first time around. Contact World by NewVoiceMedia is an enterprise-class contact centre, which provides contact centre technology as a true cloud service over the Internet similar to the bigwigs like Amazon and Google (News - Alert).
“With NewVoiceMedia joining the G-Cloud framework, the U.K. public sector can now deliver outstanding customer service via the cloud”, commented Jonathan Gale, CEO at NewVoiceMedia.
Based in Basingstoke, NewVoiceMedia currently serves customers in 30 countries on five continents. After being accepted into the G-cloud program, NewVoiceMedia clients will reportedly benefit from enterprise class contact centre functionality, at a fraction of the cost of the traditional system.
According to Gale, the accepting NewVoiceMedia into the G-Cloud ii program was a clear indication that the U.K. Government was encouraging businesses to utilize cloud technology. This in turn will transform the public sector and allow faster and broader adoption of cloud services.
A statement issued by the Cabinet Office indicates that this indeed is true. In the first eight months of operation, there were 99 purchases of IT services through the G-Cloud’s ‘CloudStore, of which70 percent was with small and medium-sized enterprises.
G-Cloud ii currently offers 3,000 services from 458 IT suppliers.
