Allworx Expands Interact Professional Capabilities; Unveils Version 1.1

Communication solutions provider Allworx (News - Alert) Corp announced the immediate availability of Interact Professional 1.1.


Allworx Interact is a free application made available to all Allworx users, and is designed to improve efficiency by bringing PC-based user interface with the power of the Allworx handset. It offers an easy way to identify an incoming caller from PC screen and allows users to answer calls without having to look at the phone.

Allworx Interact Professional, a per user licensed application, enhances productivity by enabling users with total control of their handset. The initial release of Interact Professional offered quick access to current and parked calls, presence management, call history and contacts.

"Our offices are no longer bound by four walls; they're now only limited by the reach of our technology," said Chris Hasenauer, vice president and general manager of Allworx.

"Interact Professional 1.1 simplifies advanced call control tasks and further integrates our users' Allworx handset with their PC and cloud based applications. With a user environment reminiscent of our award winning 'Reach' virtualized mobile handset; 'Interact Professional 1.1' is the logical next-step in our suite of user-friendly applications, all focusing on one goal: making our customers more successful," Hasenauer added.

With this new release, Allworx has expanded Interact Professional's capabilities with numerous additional views, contact filters and dialing and transferring shortcuts. Call recording has been added with a single click and recorded calls can be stored anywhere. An external program link enables a URL search or an application command script to access a selected application or database, generating additional information for every call.

Certain features of Interact Professional 1.1 require Allworx server System Software 7.7 or later. Any existing customer using Interact Professional 1.0 can enjoy many of the benefits simply by upgrading automatically the next time they open the application, said the company.
