ToutApp Launches an Open API for Enhanced Customer Management Tools
By Clayton Hamshar
ToutApp, the provider of a popular sales platform with advanced email tracking, templates and analytics capabilities, has launched an open API (Application Programming Interface) called Tout Connect that provides a way to embed ToutApp features and functionality directly into third-party applications.
Sales operations integrating ToutApp have access to extensive tracking and analytics tools that provide a comprehensive view of all communications including emails, presentations and websites. The solution also offers insight into past, present and future sales performance to provide a holistic array of customer engagement information, which can then be used to construct personalized email templates that resonate well with customers at each point in the sales process.
Tout Connect enables integration of these functions into any Customer Relationship Management (CRM), lead generation or customer success platform. Salespeople can send trackable, Tout-templated emails, view Tout tracking and event data, access a contextual history of email conversations and engagements on each contact, take action with click-to-call or email and generate Tout contacts from a lead list. Companies making use of the API can therefore add significant value to the services they offer customers and better ensure their satisfaction.
“Most sales teams use as many as 15 different tools to manage the sales process,” said Tawheed Kader, Founder and CEO of ToutApp. “Tout Connect extends our software's tracking, template and analytics capabilities to any application in a salesperson's workflow, simplifying the overall experience by reducing friction between tools. This is a huge win for sales teams, allowing them to spend more time selling from any platform they're on. And third-party offerings benefit by providing more value to their users without having to build additional functionality.”
The launch of Tout Connect is supported by integration with the platforms of a few partner companies: Bluenose, kitedesk, lead411, Preact and Spiderbook. It follows the announcement of $15 million in Series B funding last month, an indication of the company’s rapidly growing success in the sales industry and the main driver for several forthcoming product launches.
