Southern European Telecom Operator Implements Kofax
By Anuradha Shukla
Southern European telecommunications operator has selected a document capture solution from Kofax, a provider of document-driven business process automation solutions.
Each year, the operator receives about 3 million customer contracts, account forms and related documents via mail, fax and email. Kofax software will help the operator to scan and capture data from these customers.
All the resulting images and data will then be exported to an ERP system for further processing. This entire process results in several benefits such as a very efficient and cost effective process, improved customer service levels and far better regulatory compliance efforts.
Alan Kerr, executive vice president of Field Operations at Kofax noted that companies and government agencies can benefit from implementing a capture solution whenever incoming documents drive business processes and transactions.
Factors such as lower operating costs, increased productivity, accelerated business processes, better data quality and improved regulatory compliance efforts can easily combine in order to provide a compelling, short term return on investment, said Kerr.
According to a release, the total value of the contract to Kofax is about $300,000.
Kofax specializes in providing solutions that streamline the flow of information throughout an organization by managing the capture, transformation and exchange of business critical information arising in paper, fax and electronic formats in a more accurate, timely and cost effective manner.
The company was in news earlier this month when it provided a major business process outsourcing (BPO) firm with a document capture solution. This firm will use this solution to provide a large U.S. federal government agency with document capture services. Anuradha Shukla is a contributing editor for TMCnet.
