Coming off of a successful and productive 2011, Accedian Networks (News - Alert) has certainly started off the New Year on the right foot in a bigger and better office, and continuing to expand the growth of the company through its Network Interface Device (NID) offerings and 4G mobile backhaul equipment.
To further expand its reach and continue to make its mark in the mobile backhaul and Ethernet industry, Accedian will be attending the 4GWE Conference in collocation with ITEXPO (News - Alert) West in Miami, FL taking place Jan. 31-Feb. 3.
While not a newcomer to ITEXPO, this year will be Accedian’s first time participating in the 4GWE Conference, a collocated event right up the 4G mobile backhaul equipment and NID provider’s alley.
Aside from exhibiting on the show floor, Craig Easley, VP of marketing and product management at Accedian, will be participating in a speaking engagement revolving around small cells. Easley has over 20 years of experience in the information technology and telecommunications industries. Through his participation with the Metro Ethernet Forum (News - Alert) and IEEE 802 standards organizations he is recognized as one of the pioneers of the Carrier Ethernet industry. Craig has served 7 terms on the Metro Ethernet Forum’s (MEF (News - Alert)) Board of Directors and is currently the Co-Chair of the Marketing Committee and is leading the MEF’s new Professional Certification initiative. He has also been a long-time participant in the IEEE and has contributed to the development of numerous telecommunications standards including Ethernet in the First Mile.
The panel, entitled, “Small Cells Where they Count, Building out the Core” will take place on Feb. 2, at 3:00 p.m. and will include Easley along with panelists, Piyush Raj, manager RF engineering, Outdoor DAS Solutions for American Tower (News
- Alert), Ronen Vegosh, vice president of marketing and business development at PureWave and Roger Williams, senior director, sales engineering at Comcast. The session will explore the future of small cells from the perspective of leading operators and vendors in the field and address some of the key challenges posed by this fast emerging technology.
