NEI Launches Appliance Deployment Channel on TMCnet

TMCnet News

(Norwalk, CT – May 21, 2008) Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC (News - Alert)) today announced that the Appliance Deployment channel has been launched as the newest addition to the TMCnet channel program.

The Appliance Deployment channel is sponsored by NEI (NASDAQ: NENG), a leading provider of server appliance products and services for storage, security and communications software vendors worldwide. The Appliance Deployment channel will host a variety of technical resources, such as white papers, webcasts, podcasts, blogs, feature articles and industry news as a means to inform and educate independent software vendors (ISVs), software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) providers, IT infrastructure integrators and network enterprise computing users.
The Appliance Deployment channel can be found at:
In the “Cool Vendors in Infrastructure Appliances, 2008” report, L. Frank Kenny, Gartner’s (News - Alert) research director, recently stated, “There have been significant enhancements to hardware, middleware, software and surrounding services from appliance vendors. This will enable appliance users to more easily support SaaS, shared-service and high-performance environments. Moreover, infrastructure appliances will be a means by which ISVs of all sizes offer SaaS in cloud computing.”
NEI’s unique combination of engineering, manufacturing, logistics and technical support enable its customers to focus on software innovation, drive down the cost of ownership and speed time to market.
“NEI is pleased to sponsor the Appliance Deployment channel on TMCnet, a leading provider of communications and technology media,” said Hugh Kelly, senior vice president of marketing at NEI. “Storage, security and communications application developers are recognizing the inherent development, deployment, manageability and cost-saving benefits that the appliance model provides. TMCnet’s audience is a perfect fit for promoting this model, and we plan to help this channel deliver valuable resources and distinguish NEI as the high value-add appliance provider.”
TMCnet’s channels are micro-targeted information portals where readers can find topic-specific news, articles, feature stories and product reviews. TMCnet has over 100 channels covering important topics in the IP communications, VoIP, IP telephony, CRM, call center and information technology industries.
“TMCnet welcomes NEI’s Appliance Deployment channel into our program,” stated Dave Rodriguez (News - Alert), Vice President of Publications and Conferences, TMC. “They are a well-respected network appliance company that shares our vision in the advancement of new technologies. Our channel program is a community-building vehicle assisting our partners in growing their brand, while contributing to the vast array of valuable content which drives traffic to TMCnet, the most-visited communications and technology web site in the world.”
