Headquartered in Massachusetts, NEI (News - Alert) powers purpose-built application platforms, appliances and deployment services for both software developers and OEMs that are completely revolutionizing the industry. Touted for its wide array of expertise in seamlessly integrating next-generation offerings into already existing infrastructures, the company creates products designed from the ground up to overcome deployment obstacles, increase time to market, cut down operating costs and ramp up efficiency in any business.
As cloud computing continues to be implemented at a rapid pace, security appliance vendors are seeing a great need for flexible options when deploying a solution. Recently, Alert Logic, a company in Houston behind security solutions for approximately half of the biggest managed hosting and cloud computing organizations around the globe, was looking to enhance its footprint by debuting more scalable deployment options that would prove successful no matter the computing environment.
The security company ultimately decided to team with NEI to create a turnkey appliance with an ultra high level of support, in addition to flexibility.
Chris Tabor, director of Service Support for Alert Logic, said in a recent video, “We are seeing growth opportunities in three main areas—more channel partners in more geographies, and more products. We recently launched our newest product line, the Web Applications Security Management Solution, and I really looked forward to working with NEI to getting it out to the field.”
Essentially, NEI assists companies with the upfront design of their hardware platform, and offers process controls to provide predictive quality of the appliances going to the field, ongoing visibility into business processes, and continuous support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Tabor added, “In the last year we grew our business by 40 percent and NEI supported that growth without even breaking a sweat.”
Alongside ABB and IO, NEI attended Automation & Power World last week in Houston. NEI showcased its 380V DC server solutions within the IO.Anywhere Data Module, a data center system powered by ABB’s technology that raises the bar on scalability, while simultaneously driving reliability and improving energy efficiency.
