Talon Storage Solutions Partners with Appliance Deployment Solutions Provider NEI

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

NEI (News - Alert), a provider of appliance deployment solutions for server, storage, security and communications software vendors, recently revealed that Talon Storage Solutions has partnered with the appliance deployment provider to deploy their flagship product Talon FAST (News - Alert).

Talon Storage Solutions is planning to deploy the solution in Q2 2012 and released the beta version on March 15, 2012.  In addition, NEI will offer appliance deployment solutions to address the hardware specifics and worldwide logistics.

Talon Storage Solutions products are designed to help businesses securely accelerate, consolidate and control information at every location across the WAN. The File Acceleration and Sharing Technology (FAST) solution helps customers dramatically improve file access performance for branch locations and consolidate servers with confidence.

Further, NEI has manufacturing and service plants around the globe to help us in assisting Talon Storage Solutions in growing its installed base.

With its deep expertise in system integration, application management, global logistics, support, and maintenance services, NEI is redefining appliance deployment for the information and communications industry. The company has been delivering appliance innovation to the industry through its physical, virtual and cloud-ready solutions, and is leading the transition to the latest Sandy Bridge platform from Intel (News - Alert).

In fact, according to a survey conducted by NEI, nearly one third of OEMs and ISVs, including those in the storage industry, plan to migrate to the new Intel Xeon Processor (News - Alert) E5-2600 Family within the next 12 months.

Storage and security are the two top market segments preparing to switch to the E5-2600 Family, with 40 percent of participants from storage companies and 36 percent from security industry opting for that migration in the next year, followed by telecom (35 percent) and network management (23 percent).
