VASCO Data Security International (News - Alert), a provider of security software solutions for authentication, has strengthened its security appliance deployment portfolio with the addition of a new product called IDENTIKEY Virtual Appliance.
The new virtual appliance deployment solution consists of three components and complements VASCO’s successful IDENTIKEY product range. They include the IDENTIKEY Authentication Server, IDENTIKEY Federation Server and IDENTIKEY Appliance.
The IDENTIKEY Authentication Server is designed to deliver off-the-shelf centralized authentication server whereas the IDENTIKEY Federation Server provides clients with the most powerful identity and access management platform currently on the market. The IDENTIKEY Appliance merges with the IDENTIKEY Authentication Server and a 19 inch physical appliance into a completely managed server.
The IDENTIKEY Virtual appliance, in combination with IDENTIKEY Appliance product range, offers hypervisor remote access security providing customers with the flexibility to choose the deployment model that best meets their unique security requirements.
Some of the benefits of the virtual appliance deployment solution include cost savings, rapid deployment and provisioning, simplified policy management and a Web-based administrator interface. It’s an ideal solution for companies planning to move their security infrastructure to a virtual environment.
Additionally, the virtual appliance also validates the DIGIPASS generated one-time passwords and e-signatures to secure remote access to corporate networks and Web-based applications. It supports popular hypervisor products, so it guarantees widespread acceptance.
“With the release of the IDENTIKEY Virtual Appliance, VASCO answers organizations’ growing business needs driven by increasing mobility and virtualization,” said Jan Valcke, president and COO of VASCO Data Security, in a statement.
“The extended portfolio of VASCO’s authentication server products provides customers with a wide choice of highly scalable and cost-effective security solutions allowing them to stay ahead in the rapid changing IT landscape while protecting their corporate assets,” Valcke added.
The product will be available in mid-February and targets small and large companies in any market, as well as financial institutions that are looking to deploy an on-premise solution with the highest security.
